The Graphic Design program provides individuals with the necessary background for continued study in graphic arts and visual communication at a four-year institution. This program will provide a solid foundation in art, advertising,graphic arts, photography, and art history. Graphic designers must have a broad background in art to assist them with the range of assignments that might begiven to them. In advertising, graphic designers work with copywriters to produce ads, brochures, and packagedesigns. In publishing, they work with editors to produce layouts as well as covers for books and magazines.
